Job Description: Office Peon – JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Berhampur

Position Overview

JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Berhampur, is seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Office Peon to assist with the daily operations of the institute. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, supporting staff and students, and handling miscellaneous tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the institution.


Key Responsibilities

General Duties

  1. Office Maintenance:

    • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the office premises, classrooms, and common areas.
    • Organize and set up classrooms or meeting spaces as needed.
  2. Assistance to Staff and Students:

    • Serve tea, coffee, and water to staff, students, and visitors.
    • Support faculty and administration in small tasks like moving materials, arranging supplies, etc.
  3. Document Handling:

    • Deliver and collect documents, files, or packages within the institute and nearby locations.
    • Assist with photocopying, scanning, and filing documents when required.

Administrative Support

  1. Errands and Logistics:

    • Run errands for purchasing office supplies, delivering letters, or paying bills.
    • Handle minor repair and maintenance tasks around the institute.
  2. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor pantry and cleaning supplies and inform the admin for replenishment.

Candidate Expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum educational qualification: 10th Pass.
  • Ability to read and write in Odia, with basic knowledge of Hindi or English preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
