About the Role

A reputed restaurant is seeking a friendly, reliable Counter Executive to manage customer orders, process payments, and support smooth front-counter operations. This customer-facing role suits someone who enjoys hospitality, works accurately, and stays calm during busy service periods. Freshers and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously, explain menu items, and answer questions about pricing and availability.

• Take dine-in and takeaway orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Process cash, card, and UPI payments; issue bills and return correct change.

• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure orders are prepared and handed over correctly.

• Check takeaway packaging, order completeness, and customer handovers.

• Recommend suitable menu items, add-ons, and available offers without pressuring customers.

• Handle routine customer concerns politely and escalate complaints or payment discrepancies to the supervisor.

• Maintain counter cleanliness, replenish packaging supplies, and follow food hygiene procedures.

• Support opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and shift handovers.

• Communicate dietary requests to the kitchen and verify ingredient or allergen information rather than making assumptions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Qualification: Class 12 pass or equivalent preferred.

• Experience: 0–2 years in restaurant service, retail billing, cashiering, or customer support; freshers may apply.

• Clear verbal communication, a courteous attitude, and attentive listening skills.

• Basic numeracy and accuracy when handling orders, bills, and payments.

• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn restaurant POS software.

• Ability to multitask, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain accuracy during peak hours.

• Good personal hygiene, punctuality, and a professional appearance.

• Willingness to work on-site in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, according to the restaurant's roster.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bakery, or quick-service outlet.

• Familiarity with POS billing, digital payments, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.

• Experience managing delivery-platform orders and coordinating pickup handovers.

• A hospitality certificate or basic food safety training.

• Indicative compensation: ₹1,80,000–₹2,64,000 per year (approximately ₹15,000–₹22,000 per month), subject to experience and employer confirmation.
