Machine Operator & Furniture Assembly Technician at Interiocore Design Studio PVT Ltd

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Machine Operator & Furniture Assembly Technician to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for operating production machinery, accurately manufacturing furniture components, maintaining quality standards, and assembling modular furniture as per approved drawings and production requirements.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Panel Saw, CNC Router, Edge Bending Machine and Cold Press Machine, along with good knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing and assembly.

## Key Responsibilities

### Machine Operation

Operate Panel Saw Machine* for accurate cutting of plywood, MDF, HDHMR and other boards.

Operate CNC Router Machine* for cutting, drilling, grooving and other machining requirements.

Operate Edge Bending Machine* and ensure proper edge banding and finishing.

Operate Cold Press Machine* for pressing and bonding of panels.

* Set machine parameters, tools and materials according to production requirements.

* Ensure proper machine operation and maintain required cutting and processing accuracy.

* Identify and report machine-related issues to the Production Supervisor.

* Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance.

### Production & Quality Control

Read and understand cutting lists, production drawings and measurements*.

* Verify dimensions before and after machining.

* Maintain accuracy and minimize material wastage.

* Check the quality of cut panels, edge banding, pressing and CNC work.

* Ensure all components are manufactured according to approved designs and specifications.

* Identify defective materials or components and report them to the supervisor.

* Maintain proper labeling and organization of finished components.

### Furniture Assembly

* Assemble modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, vanities, storage units and other furniture components.

* Perform drilling, hardware fitting, alignment and fixing of components.

* Install hinges, drawer channels, handles, connectors and other furniture hardware.

* Ensure proper alignment, dimensions and finishing of assembled units.

* Check the final product before dispatch or installation.

* Coordinate with the production and installation teams whenever required.

### Safety & Workplace Responsibilities

* Follow all factory safety rules and machine operating procedures.

* Use appropriate safety equipment while operating machinery.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.

* Handle machines, tools and materials carefully.

* Prevent unnecessary material damage and wastage.

* Follow production schedules and maintain workplace discipline.

## Required Skills

Practical knowledge of Panel Saw, CNC Router, Edge Bending Machine and Cold Press Machine*.

* Experience in modular kitchen and furniture manufacturing.

* Good understanding of plywood, MDF, HDHMR, laminates and other furniture materials.

* Ability to understand production drawings and cutting lists.

* Good measurement and basic calculation skills.

* Knowledge of furniture hardware and assembly.

* Ability to work accurately with minimum supervision.

* Good teamwork and communication skills.

* Basic machine maintenance knowledge will be an advantage.

## Experience

2–4 years of relevant experience in modular furniture manufacturing, machine operation, carpentry production or interior furniture production.

Candidates with hands-on experience in operating Panel Saw, CNC Router, Edge Bending Machine and Cold Press Machine will be preferred.

## Educational Qualification

* ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in a relevant field will be an advantage.

* Candidates with strong practical experience may also be considered.

## Salary & Benefits

Salary Package: Up to ₹3,60,000 per annum (₹30,000 per month)

Salary will be decided based on the candidate's experience, technical skills, machine-handling ability and overall suitability for the role.

## Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be technically skilled, responsible, quality-conscious and experienced in modular furniture production. The candidate should be comfortable working with different machines as well as performing furniture assembly and finishing work.
