Job Summary: The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns as required.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
